PMA Kakul is a military academy located in Abbottabad, Pakistan. It was established in 1947 by the British colonial authorities and is known for producing some of the most elite officers in the Pakistan Army. The academy covers an area of 6881 acres and offers a rigorous training program for cadets, which includes academic courses, physical fitness training, and military drills. Cadets are selected based on a highly competitive process that includes written and physical tests, as well as interviews. PMA Kakul also offers various graduate programs in military and strategic studies. The academy has produced several notable alumni, including former President Pervez Musharraf and current Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
